Welcome New Graduate Students, September 2012! With the fall semester having commenced, the Lean and Green Research Initiative welcomes two new graduate students.

- Dr. Leicht and Gretchen Macht travelled to Rheden, Netherlands to present their work at the Engineering Project Organization Conference (EPOC) early this July 2012. As usual, the EPOC environment was intellectually inspiring and sparked multiple future collaborative ideas. EPOC 2013 is in Colorado next summer; we hope to make another strong PSU Lean & Green research presence

- PSU Lean & Green, working with United Technologies, hosted a workshop at the Philadelphia Navy Yard to elicit requirements for improving the energy auditing and retrofit feasibility analysis. Bringing together 30 members from across industry perspectives the workshop identified four themes of the current challenges, including Information Management, Process Quality, Financial Benchmarking, and Owner Education.
